A motorist who drove while he was disqualified has been put on probation for a year.

Forty-six-year-old Brian Moore was banned for three years in March 2025, for drink-driving.

However, the court heard that he was caught driving on May 21 this year.

He admitted the offence as well as having no insurance or tax.

Moore told probation that it had been a one-off and that he had been going to the aid of friends, who he was concerned about.

He was represented in court by duty advocate John Wright.

A further 12 month ban has been issued, but that will run alongside the three year ban already issued.

Moore, of Douglas Head, Douglas, must also pay £125 prosecution costs.
