A 34-year-old Ramsey man has denied drink-driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.

Jason Liam Christian, of Bircham Avenue Close, appeared before magistrates on September recently, and was represented by advocate Helen Lobb.

The offences are alleged to have been committed at Prince’s Road and Queen’s Pier Road in Ramsey, on August 16.

Prosecuting advocate Annie Bannister submitted that the driving while disqualified allegation, which can be committed to the higher court, was suitable to remain in summary court.

Ms Lobb agreed that a trial should be in the lower court.

Magistrates accepted summary court jurisdiction and a pre-trial review has been scheduled for November 12.

Bail continues with a recognisance of £500 and a condition to reside at his home address.
