A 52-year-old man who had denied resisting arrest has changed his plea to guilty.

Alexander Kennedy, lastly of Main Road, Colby, had also previously denied threatening behaviour, but the prosecution offered no evidence to that charge after he admitted the other offence.

Kennedy appeared in front of Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood via video link from the prison recently.

He was represented in court by advocate Paul Glover.

Sentencing for the resisting arrest offence has been adjourned sine die, as the defendant is due to face other matters at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.

No bail application was made and he is remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.
