A man who was released early from prison has been sent back after breaching his licence terms.
Thirty-year-old Jordan John Declan Caley admitted breaching conditions by using drugs at the Tromode House bail hostel he’d been residing at.
Caley was jailed for 31 months in September 2025 after robbing a 70-year-old woman as she walked to the shops, but then released in May 2026.
A probation report said that Caley had no address to go to if he was put under a supervision order, and that suspending his early release licence would allow more time for somewhere to be found for him to reside.
Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood suspended Caley’s licence for four months, meaning he will go back to prison for that period.
