A Douglas man has admitted stealing £800 in cash from Spar on Bucks Road.
Thirty-seven-year-old Karl Allen Cameron went to the store on September 10, after it had closed.
He was let in by a staff member who was cashing up, and allowed to buy items.
However, as the employee went around the counter to let Cameron out, he took £800 in cash.
Appearing before magistrates recently, the defendant, who lives at Cronk Y Berry, was represented by advocate Paul Glover.
Mr Glover asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing, which has been scheduled for November 5.
