A Douglas man, arrested at the Outback, has admitted disorderly conduct on licensed premises, possessing cocaine, and two counts of resisting arrest.

Twenty-eight-year-old James Scott Pringle, of Cronk Drean, was asked to leave by staff on July 12, but swore and became involved in a struggle, during which a doorman received a split lip.

Police arrived, but he resisted two officers as they tried to put him in a van, saying: ‘F*** off, you’re a kn*bhead.’

At police headquarters, 0.3 grams of cocaine was found in Pringle’s sock.

A charge of common assault was withdrawn by prosecution.

Defence advocate Victoria Watterson asked for a probation report to be prepared before sentencing.

Bail continues with a condition to co-operate in the report preparation.
