A well-known name from the Clubland era is heading to the Isle of Man, with one half of Flip n Fill announced as the latest headline act in Mad Jack’s ‘BED BEFORE 11 Presents’ series.
Graham Turner from Flip n Fill will perform a headline DJ set at the South Quay venue on Saturday, October 10.
The announcement follows appearances from fellow 00s’ dance acts Ultrabeat, N-Trance and Ian Van Dahl, who have all featured as part of the series earlier this year.
Manchester-based Flip n Fill became synonymous with the Clubland sound of the early 2000s, producing a string of dance anthems which became popular during the era.
The act’s catalogue includes ‘Shooting Star’, ‘True Love Never Dies’ featuring Kelly Llorenna, ‘Discoland’, ‘Field of Dreams’ and ‘Shake Ya Shimmy’.
Flip n Fill achieved eight UK Top-40 chart entries, including two top-10 hits.
‘Shooting Star’ reached number three on the UK Singles Chart, while ‘True Love Never Dies’ peaked at number seven.
Their music also featured on the Clubland compilation series, which became a defining part of British dance music culture during the 2000s.
The act has continued to perform at Clubland shows, festivals and events across the UK and beyond.
Graham will be joined at Mad Jack’s by BED BEFORE 11 resident Tom Craze and DJ Sound.
Tom said the response to the series had been ‘incredible’, adding that Flip n Fill was the ‘perfect act’ to continue the run of Clubland acts visiting the island.
He said: ‘If you were buying the Clubland CDs in the 2000s, these are tunes you instantly recognise.’
BED BEFORE 11 runs from 6pm until 10pm, offering an earlier alternative to a traditional late-night club night.
