The Isle of Man Arts Council has announced its annual student bursaries for the 2026-27 academic year, with six students selected to receive funding.

The bursaries are available to students entering or already in further or higher education, with each award worth £10,000 over the duration of their course.

The funding can help cover costs including travel, tuition fees, accommodation and essential equipment, supporting students studying performing arts, visual art, literature and music both on and off the island.

The Jonathan Gollow Awards for Performing Arts have been awarded to Evie Skillicorn and Jessie Quigley.

Evie will attend Mountview Theatre School to study for a BA (Hons) in Performance and Musical Theatre, while Jessie will continue her BMus (Hons) Music studies at Royal Holloway University of London.

The Norman Sayle Awards for Visual Art and Literature have been presented to Loki Stonehouse and Bronwyn Edwards.

Loki will study for a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Ulster University, while Bronwyn will attend the University of Hertfordshire to study for a BA (Hons) in Model Design and Special Effects.

This year's Isle of Man Arts Council Awards have been awarded to Ealish Creer and Jazmine Hay.

Ealish will study for a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre at The Hammond School in Chester, while Jazmine will attend the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Dublin to study for a Foundation Diploma in Professional Musicianship.

The Awards are named in memory of former Isle of Man Arts Council members, music promoter Jonathan Gollow and artist Norman Sayle.

Vice-chair of the Isle of Man Arts Council, Benjamin Heath, said: ‘Investing in our island's young creative talent remains one of the Arts Council's proudest responsibilities. This year's six recipients each demonstrated exceptional ability and real commitment to their chosen art form, and I have every confidence they will go on to achieve great things.’
