Stage Door Entertainment is set to bring ‘The Great British Bake Off Musical’ to the Gaiety Theatre in November, following the success of its 2025 production of ‘Calendar Girls The Musical’.

The musical will run from November 12 to 14, with the show following a group of contestants competing in the Bake Off tent, combining comedy, competition and drama with an original musical score.

The production will feature a cast of bakers alongside musicians and a wider production team, with cakes and baking forming a central part of the stage show.

It will also provide opportunities for local performers, musicians, backstage creatives, technicians and production teams to contribute to the production.

The announcement comes after what has been a successful period for Stage Door Entertainment.

Its 2025 production of Calendar Girls The Musical raised £46,449.70 for The BIG Manx Community Charity.

The production was also recognised at the 2025 Media Isle of Man Awards for Excellence, where Stage Door Entertainment received the Elevating Our Creative Industries Award for Excellence.

A spokesperson from Stage Door commented: ‘Calendar Girls was an incredibly special production for us. We knew we were creating something that meant a huge amount to our cast, crew and audiences, but we could never have imagined just how much the Isle of Man would get behind it.

‘To raise more than £46,000 for The BIG Manx Community Charity was an incredible achievement and winning the Elevating Our Creative Industries Award was the icing on the cake. It was wonderful recognition not just for Stage Door, but for everyone involved in creating theatre on the island.

‘Now we’re ready to do it all again but this time we’re swapping sunflowers for showstoppers and heading into the Bake Off tent!’

Stage Door Entertainment was established by performers Lisa Kreisky and Krissy Wilson and has become an established part of the island's amateur theatre scene.

The company also runs Stage Door Academy, which provides opportunities for younger performers to develop their theatrical skills.

Lisa added: ‘We’ve got a lot to live up to after Calendar Girls, but we’re incredibly excited about what we’re creating.

‘The Great British Bake Off Musical is funny, uplifting, colourful and full of fantastic music. It’s got everything we love about theatre – great characters, big musical numbers, plenty of comedy and a story that audiences can really get behind.

‘We want people to come along, have a brilliant night out and leave the theatre with a huge smile on their face.’
