Fairytale, folklore, storytelling and music from the dark mists of time will be brought to life in a new and exciting one-man show later this month.
Parable arts, a UK-based touring theatre company, is to bring their show, ’Forgotten Tales’ to the Erin Arts Centre next weekend.
Featuring the talents of Parable Arts founder and lead actor Jon Buckeridge, the show ’Forgotten Tales’ will re-tell fables, folklore and stories from around the British Isles.
The fast-paced, lively and captivating one man show mixes story telling and folk music in an innovative and attention grabbing fashion.
Tale from all across the ancient Celtic Isles, including legends from the Isle of Man are included, and feature such characters as Fionn Mac Cumhaill, Cú Chulain, Manx magicians, Cornish cats and even the Devil himself.
’We are immensely proud to announce that we’re bringing our storytelling adventure The Forgotten Tales to the Isle of Man, next month,’ said Jon.
’The island is an area so alive with myths, legends and folk-tales which are still so proudly celebrated.
’The Forgotten Tales has been a smash hit at arts and theatre festivals around the country this summer, receiving popular and critical acclaim.’
Tickets for the show which takes place on Saturday, September 23, are £10, with £8 for the over 60s. Tickets for under 18s are £2, available from the Erin Arts Centre Box Office.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
