The Royal Manx Agricultural Society has launched what it describes as its most comprehensive public survey to date, seeking feedback on this year’s Royal Show.

The society is inviting anyone with a connection to the 2026 event to share their views on what worked well, what could be improved and what they would like to see at future shows.

The survey is open to livestock and marquee exhibitors, Young Farmers, judges, stewards, volunteers, society members, trade stand holders, food and drink concessions and sponsors, as well as visitors and residents and businesses near the showground.

Questions are tailored to the respondent, meaning participants are only asked about areas of the Show they experienced. The society says most surveys take between five and 10 minutes to complete.

Feedback will be used to help inform decisions on the Show’s schedule and class structure, judging arrangements, showground facilities, ticketing and pricing, communications and the overall visitor experience.

As an incentive to take part, one respondent selected at random will receive a £200 voucher for the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

Carol Kennaugh, secretary of the Royal Manx Agricultural Society, said: ‘The Royal Manx only happens because of the people who turn up, the exhibitors who prepare their stock for months, the volunteers who are on site before dawn, the traders, the sponsors and the thousands of visitors who come through the gates.

‘This survey is our way of asking all of them the same question: what should we do next?’

The society has also committed to publishing a summary of the survey findings and outlining the actions it plans to take once the survey has closed.

The survey is now open at royalmanx.com/survey and closes on Friday, September 19.

Responses will be treated confidentially, with contact details only collected from people who choose to provide them.
