First time buyers have begun moving into a new estate in Crosby.
Marown Commissioners and developers blamed each other for delays in getting families to move into their homes on Crosby Meadows before Christmas.
All homes on the estate were completed by the beginning of October.
But seven families claimed they were left in limbo following a delay in Marown Commissioners adopting ’bat-friendly’ street lighting on the estate. Developer JM Project Management said they did everything they could to try to get the families in before Christmas.
And the Commissioners insisted they had adopted the new-style street lights at the first opportunity.
Now four out of the seven first-time buyers have moved in, with the first family doing so on January 24.
The other three home-buyers are expected to move in to their homes on the estate shortly.
