Brewers Heron and Brearley will be allowed to leave its Trackside bar sat in Noble’s Park for the whole summer thanks to its new deal with Douglas Council.
The bar will be used during both TT fortnight and the Festival of Motorcycling, meaning under the agreement it could be in place from two weeks before TT and up to two weeks after the FoM, a potential total of 126 days. Last year there was a public disagreement between the council and H&B after council members said there was not an agreement for the bar to be in place throughout the summer.
However H&B then submitted a retrospective planning application to keep the bar in place. As a result of the new terms, H&B will pay increased rent for the space.
