One of the island’s most iconic buildings is set for a makeover under new proposals.

The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) has submitted a planning application for an external refresh of the Crow’s Nest at the Sea Terminal.

The work will involve new windows and cladding, alongside roof improvements, being carried out by Modus Architects Ltd.

The planning application outlines what is proposed saying: ‘Replacement of existing windows and wall cladding and roof finish to the third-floor Crows Nest.

‘Replacement of the existing roof finish to the north wing flat roof. Replacement of the existing full height wall cladding panels to the north east, south and west elevations.’

The application will be considered by planners in due course.
