A tribute lap will be held on Friday in memory of Isle of Man TT rider Daniel Ingham, with his wife Helayna set to ride pillion and complete the lap he never got to finish.
Ingham, 33, from Melton Mowbray, was killed during an incident at Doran’s Bend on the first lap of the third solo qualifying session for this year’s Isle of Man TT.
Now, three months on from the tragedy, Helayna will take to the Mountain Course in his memory.
The tribute has been organised for Friday, August 28, with Helayna inviting friends, fellow competitors, members of the racing community and supporters to either join the lap or come along to see them off.
The pair will assemble at the end of the pit lane at 10.45am, with the lap scheduled to depart at 11am, rain or shine.
Jim Hunter, of the Manx Motorcycle Club, said: ‘On the evening of Wednesday 27th May our 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ingham, set off on a TT ’26 qualifying lap.
‘As we all know far too well, he didn’t get to complete it.
‘On Friday 28th August, his wife Helayna, riding pillion, will make sure he does get to complete that lap.’
It added: ‘Helayna would be delighted if anyone would like to join her and Dan on this final lap of the course or just simply come along and see them off from the start.’

Ingham made his Mountain Course debut at the Manx Grand Prix in 2016 before progressing to the TT.
He had built up a decade of racing experience on the course and recorded multiple podium finishes, including victory in the 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix.
His TT debut had been one of the biggest moments of his racing career before his life was tragically cut short during qualifying.
Following his death, the TT Races paid tribute to the rider and passed on its ‘deepest sympathy’ to Helayna, his son Joey and daughter Phoebe, as well as his wider family and friends.
Tributes also came from across the road racing community, with the Manx Motor Cycle Club and Manx Grand Prix organisers describing Ingham as a much-loved figure in the paddock.
His family has since worked to preserve his memory for his children.
Joey and Phoebe previously shared a message asking supporters to help them create memories of their father for the future, including through a digital memory book containing photographs, stories and personal recollections.
A fundraising campaign set up following Ingham’s death has also received significant support from the racing community, with more than £11,000 raised for Helayna and their two children.
Lauren Ingham, who organised the fundraiser, said the money would go directly towards supporting the family during an ‘incredibly difficult time’.
She described Daniel as a ‘much loved husband, daddy, brother, son and friend to so many people’, adding that he ‘lived and breathed for his family’ and had a passion for motorbikes which motivated his racing career.
