Passengers travelling to and from the Isle of Man have been warned they could face disruption today (Tuesday) because of fog and low cloud.

Isle of Man Airport issued an update this morning warning that low cloud is forecast to affect the airport.

The airport said the conditions were likely to cause some disruption to flights, with current forecasts suggesting the low cloud could remain until around 3pm.

Passengers travelling today have been advised to check with their airline for the latest information about their flight before travelling.

As of 8.30am, the airport's arrivals and departures boards were showing all arrivals as on time.

There was a slight delay showing on departures, with the 9.55am Loganair service to Birmingham currently listed as delayed.

NATS, which provides air traffic control services across the UK, said engineers were investigating an issue at its Prestwick centre in Scotland, with traffic restrictions introduced to maintain safety.

The airport's latest warning is related to weather conditions rather than that technical issue.
