A man who urinated in a police cell has been fined £350.
Thirty-seven-year-old Aaron Patrick Rice admitted criminal damage and must also pay £125 prosecution costs.
The court heard Rice was detained in a cell on September 1.
CCTV showed him lying on a bed, then removing a blanket and urinating on the floor, despite there being a toilet in the cell.
A large pool of liquid was visible on the floor.
Rice, of Empress Terrace, Douglas, said he'd been wrongfully arrested after breaking up a fight.
Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood said: ‘It sounds like a metaphorical two fingers to the police.
‘If you ever find yourself in custody again, I suggest you use the toilet.’
He was given 30 days to pay.
