Manx Gas has been recognised for its customer service at this evening’s Isle of Man Newspapers’ Awards For Excellence.
The company received the Zurich Award for Providing Excellent Customer Service after it was praised for its ‘imaginative’ system.
Customer services manager, Tanya Arthur, collected the award.
Judges said: ‘Manx Gas has invested in an imaginative customer engagement system, called Rant and Rave, and supported vulnerable customer groups through their priority customer scheme.
‘Their performance measurement system now records a customer satisfaction score of 4.8 out of 5.’
In 2017 a change of leadership led to Manx Gas shifting its primary focus from the engineering and technical side towards developing a new culture which prioritised the customer and provided excellent customer service.
Through the implementation of cutting edge technology, incorporating a customer engagement system, ongoing training of staff and the provision of incentives, the company has achieved a remarkable improvement in its customer service over the past two years.
They have also placed a greater emphasis on supporting the more vulnerable members of Manx society and engagement with charities has increased considerably.
