Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT organisers have confirmed Friday evening’s contingency qualifying session will not be used.
After a disrupted week, an extra session this evening had been on the cards, especially after the day’s earlier qualifying had been delayed by three hours as the Mountain Course dried following overnight rain.
Nevertheless, competitors have managed to get out for several laps as conditions improved in the afternoon.
Roads are due to open no later than 5pm.
Tomorrow (Saturday) is the opening race day of the festival, with the Manx Grand Prix’s opening two races set to take place.
After roads close at 9.30am, the three-lap Sportbike MGP takes place at 10.15am, with the four-lap Supersport MGP race at 2.15pm.
In between the two races there will be a Classic TT qualifying session, with a second following the Supersport race.
