A yellow weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping across parts of the Isle of Man on Sunday.

The warning, issued by the Isle of Man Met Office, will be in force from 11am until 2pm, around the time of high tide at 12.30pm.

Strong south to south-easterly winds combined with spring tides are expected to cause minor wave overtopping, with spray and debris potentially affecting windward coastal roads and promenades.

Areas likely to be affected include Douglas Promenade, Laxey Promenade, Ramsey Promenade, the western part of Shore Road in Rushen, Derbyhaven and, to a lesser extent, Castletown Promenade.

The Met Office advises people to be aware of the risk of minor damage, travel delays and temporary disruption.
