Island rates of Disability Living Allowance are on average just under 8 per cent lower than those payable in the UK.

Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan MHK told the House of Keys that he was ’fully aware’ of the issue and will make a full statement as part of his Budget at next month’s Tynwald.

Mr Cannan said it should be noted that the higher rate of the mobility component is ’only’ 4.8 per cent lower than in the UK.
