A popular pizza restaurant in Douglas has closed its doors for good after becoming known for its social media presence and a popular free pizza challenge.
Pizza Napoli, on Prospect Terrace, announced its permanent closure on Sunday, bringing an end to its time in the island's capital.
In a post on social media, the business thanked the customers and supporters who had visited since it opened.
‘And that's a wrap…’ it said.
‘After an incredible journey, Pizza Napoli is officially closed for good.
‘A huge thank you to every customer, friend and supporter who walked through our doors, ordered a pizza, shared a laugh and made memories with us.
‘It's been one hell of a ride. We'll never forget it.’
The restaurant became particularly well known online for its 'stop the timer' challenge, where customers attempted to stop a timer at exactly 10 seconds to win a free pizza.
Videos of customers taking part were shared widely on social media, including one featuring a group of youngsters which attracted significant attention.
Pizza Napoli was based in the building on Prospect Terrace which previously housed the Isle of Man Bank.
