A by-election is set to be held shortly to elect two new members to the board of Port St Mary Commissioners.
The successful candidates will serve until May 2029, with the local authority encouraging residents to consider standing for election.
‘Members of local authorities can make a real difference to the environment and quality of life in their local areas,’ a spokesperson from the commissioners said.
Those interested in standing for election are being encouraged to contact the Commissioners’ Office to find out more about the role and what it involves.
Nomination forms and information packs will be made available from the Commissioners’ Office in due course.
Anyone seeking further information can email [email protected] or contact the office by telephone on 832101.
It is not yet clear when the by-election will take place.
