A section of Peel Road in Braddan will close overnight for four nights next week to allow tree trimming works to take place.

The closure will run from 7.30pm until 6am each night from Monday, September 7, through to Friday, September 11.

It will affect the section between Braddan Bridge Roundabout, near Braddan Church, and its junction with Ashlar Drive in Union Mills.

The Department of Infrastructure said the closure had been requested by Watling Streetworks on its behalf to carry out the works.

An alternative route will be available via Vicarage Road, Cooil Road and Braaid Road.

Emergency service vehicles and authorised vehicles and personnel will be exempt from the closure.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys while the works are taking place.
