St John Ambulance is hosting its annual open day this Saturday, September 12.

Taking place at the charity’s headquarters located off Glencrutchery Road, it will showcase how the organisation is involved in the community through its youth and education programmes, volunteering, event first aid support and commercial activities like its various training courses.

In addition the event, which runs from 11am to 3pm, will also feature a charity car wash fundraiser, ambulance tours, first aid tuition, refreshments and bric-a-brac stalls.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson added: ‘The open day itself is free entry with some fundraising activities, and we're encouraging people to come along to learn more about what we do and just have some fun.’
