Two Isle of Man Steam Packet Company sailings have been placed at risk of disruption or cancellation due to forecast adverse weather.

The affected services are the 3pm Manannan sailing from Douglas to Liverpool and the 7.15pm return sailing from Liverpool to Douglas.

The Steam Packet says a final decision on whether the sailings will operate will be made by the Master by 1pm on Friday, September 18.

The company said the services are subject to ‘disruption or cancellation’ because of the forecast weather conditions.

Passengers booked on the affected sailings are advised to check the latest service information before travelling.

The other scheduled Steam Packet services on Friday are currently due to operate.

These include the 2.15am Heysham to Douglas, 6.45am Douglas to Larne, 8.30am Douglas to Heysham, 10.45am Larne to Douglas and 2.15pm Heysham to Douglas services.

The at-risk sailings are both operated by Manannan, the company's high-speed craft serving Liverpool and Larne.

The Steam Packet's sailing status is updated regularly as further information becomes available.

A decision on the two Liverpool services is expected by 1pm tomorrow.
