A concert from one of the UK’s biggest bands over the late nineties and early noughties has been delayed in the run up to TT fortnight.

Supergrass have switched the date of their concert at the Villa Marina from

June 9 to Tuesday, August 16, later this year.

The gig was originally intended to be the stand out concert at the island’s biggest venue for TT week.

A statement from the Villa Marina said: VillaGaiety have been liaising with the organisers of Supergrass who were due to perform at the Villa Marina on Thursday, June 9.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, this show has unfortunately been rescheduled.

‘We can confirm that the show will now be taking place Tuesday, August 16. Your original tickets will still be valid for this performance.

‘Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to seeing you at VillaGaiety sometime in the near future.’

The concert was one of the many gigs that was originally organised for 2020, but was hit by the Covid-related postponements over the past couple of years.
