Curraghs Wildlife Park is celebrating three cute new arrivals.

Three Chilean flamingo chicks have hatched, with staff eagerly waiting to see if more will follow.

Posting on social media, the park said: ‘It looks like we could be in for another fantastic flamingo breeding season here at Curraghs Wildlife Park.

‘Watching these grey chicks take their first steps is always a pretty special sight - although they’ve got a long way to go before they turn that famous flamingo pink!’

The park also highlighted the importance of wetland habitats to the birds.

It said: ‘Flamingos are closely associated with wetlands and their survival depends on healthy wetland habitats.

‘That’s why we’re proud to be supporting EAZA’s Wetlands for Life campaign, helping to raise awareness of these amazing habitats and the need to protect them.’
