A mental health charity has been given a donation of more than £5,000 funds raised during a New Year’s Dip.
Isle Listen received £5,071.75 from the Santander Splash on January 1, which marked the20th anniversary of the Southern Dippers’ New Year dips.
Event organiser Lenny Conroy said: ’Thanks go to everyone that contributed and took part on a very special day.
’Thanks must also go to the crews and teams of St John/Rushen Ambulance, Port Erin Lifeboat and Coastguard and Port St Mary Lifeboat; Port Erin Commissioners, The Albert, Shore and Bay Hotels; Cornerhouse Coffee, Trudi Crellin, Rotary Club, Pokerstars and Mark Redhead at Kllbr8 Limited for design and artwork.’
The sponsors of the beaches where all four dips take place were Financial Options, Macro Metal and Bushys and have all pledged to support again next year.
