The weather forecast from the Met Office

Milder today but sometimes wet and windy.

The rain at first will peter out during this morning, dry into the afternoon but rain will return by early evening, heavy for a time before clearing to showers, the showers turning wintry tonight. A strong south to southwest wind at first will fall light for a time later this morning into the afternoon, strengthening again by evening and then turning to a very strong northwesterly, temperatures up to 8 or 9 Celsius today but falling overnight to just 2 or 3 in some places and freezing over the higher ground.

A very cold day tomorrow with scattered wintry showers, a strong west to northwest wind easing a little during the day, temperatures only 3 or 4 and feeling much colder in the wind.

There may still be a few showers to start with on Monday but dry for much of the day, fresh to strong westerly winds turning to the southwest, temperatures up to 5 Celsius. Rain and gales will develop Monday night.
