With polling stations now closed, attention turns to the counts, but what did Isle of Man Today readers think would happen?

Earlier today, we asked readers to use our VOTE 2026 Predictor to select the two candidates they thought would be elected in each of the island’s 12 constituencies.

A total of 411 predictions were submitted.

The results are not a poll, forecast or indication of how people actually voted. They simply show which pairs were selected most often by those who took part.

If the most commonly selected pair in each constituency were to be elected, the picture would be:

Arbory, Castletown & Malew: Kirrie Jenkins and Jason Moorhouse.

Ayre & Michael: Alfred Cannan and Tim Johnston.

Douglas Central: Peter Shimmin and Chris Thomas.

Douglas East: Clare Barber and Joney Faragher.

Douglas North: David Ashford and Damian Ciappelli.

Douglas South: Claire Christian and Sarah Maltby.

Garff: Daphne Caine and Martyn Perkins.

Glenfaba & Peel: Ray Harmer and Geoffrey Pugh.

Middle: Jason Moore and Jane Poole-Wilson.

Onchan: Rob Callister and Rachel Glover.

Ramsey: Lawrie Hooper and Juan McGuinness.

Rushen: Michael Crowe and Michelle Haywood.

But the predictor will now have to wait for the real thing.

Polls closed at 8pm, with counting taking place tonight and the official results to follow.
