Young people from the island are being invited to write a blog that delves into the natural world.
Authors aged 21 and under are encouraged to enter the Young Nature Blogger initiative by Unesco Biosphere Isle of Man.
Those with the best blogs will see their work published by Isle of Man Newspapers.
Entrants can find their inner naturalist or express their love for the open-air by writing about their favourite species, outdoor locations and more.
Some may take inspiration from well-known young nature bloggers like Dara McAnulty, who gave a talk in the island last year.
The 16-year-old from Co Fermanagh in Northern Ireland has just published his first book and has been recognised by the likes of television presenter Chris Packham.
The Isle of Man is the first and only entire nation to be given a Unesco Biosphere status, which recognises a balanced relationship between people and nature.
Unesco - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation - promotes the protection and conservation of biodiversity across the world.
Geoffrey Boot MHK, Minister for Environment, said: ’We have a wealth of natural wonders right on our doorstep. Getting out into nature is good for us and summer is the best time to explore. I hope our talented young bloggers will share their thoughts on their favourite special species and places.’
Blog posts for the Young Nature Blogger initiative can be illustrated with photos or drawings and sent to [email protected]
The closing date is August 31.
