A large number of goalkeepers were in the mix for Manx Hockey Association's latest Team of the Week.

GOALKEEPER

Bailey Campion (Castletown Southerners GK) - got the nod after he made some outstanding saves throughout the game and produced a commanding performance in the D. Brilliant stuff from the young keeper in his first Premiership season.

DEFENCE

Erin Fox (Bacchas Colts) - was her team's busiest defender at left back and made some great tackles to stop the opposition getting through on goal.

She demonstrated some impressive hockey maturity and was always in the right place, coming out on top against players much older and more experienced than her. A performance she should be proud of.

Jon Gower-Jackson (Valkyrs A) - was a dominant performance in defence and controlled the game from there. He made some crucial tackles and performed consistently throughout the entire match.

Samuel Higgins (Castletown Sharks) - delivered a very busy but strong performance at the back, breaking down the Quins' forward momentum. This was a great experience for stepping up to the seniors.

MIDFIELD

Benji Barber (Harlequins Under-15s) - played in centre mid and listened to the feedback at half-time before putting that advice into practice in the second half, setting up three goals in addition to the three he scored himself.

Alfie Melling (Ramsey 1s) - displayed excellent control and distribution of the ball in the middle of the pitch and scored a goal to get his team on equal footing at the end of the first half.

Amy Speed (Valkyrs B) - put in a huge a huge shift at left half, driving the line, creating chances and dropping back to cover in defence.

Autumn Ryles (Ramsey Ravens) - cool, calm and skilful in midfield, Worked tirelessly to build play, pounced on opportunities to counter-attack and reacted swiftly to turnover of play, tracking back to assist defence when needed.

Ellis Wiseman (Bacchas Under-15s) - produced a mature, controlled game. Delivered excellent distribution and set up some great forward play from both midfield and when he dropped back to full-back.

ATTACK

Jake Phair (Vikings B) - tireless running off the ball to support his team-mates while playing in four different positions during the match, but played each one perfectly.

Kerri Cooke (Harlequins B) - was solid playing right inner and playing through the pain after getting injured before half-time. Always fought for the ball throughout the whole game.
