Isle of Man archer Lesley Sleight has been selected to represent England at the World Bowhunter Championships 2027 taking place in Germany.

Each of the 29 countries participating in the championships have initially been allocated nine starting places to register a national team.

'It is a huge honour and I am very proud to be one of the nine selected to represent Team England. The team consists of nine different bow styles and I have been selected to shoot in the traditional recurve class.'

There is a hope that more archers will be able to represent England when more places become available.

Lesley would like to thank Isle of Man Sport for their continued support and Bushys’ Brewery for enabling her to train in their glen.

Sleight is a member of Bowderyn Vannin Field Archery and Isle of Man Archery Club.
