The 2026 Junior and Senior Island Tennis Championships took place at Douglas LTC over nine days recently.

Despite the poor weather forecast over the final four days, only 10 minutes were lost to rain on the final Sunday: the all-weather surface at the club allowed play to be continuous throughout, with 132 matches being completed.

In the eight-and-under singles, played as a round robin, the gold went to Zander Champion Clark, the silver to Conor Fitzsimmons and the bronze Romani Manuja.

The doubles gold went to Conor and Jamie Jelly, ahead of Zander and Mani Manuja.

In the nine-and-under singles round robin, Toy Kammerer won gold, with silver going George Crosbie and the bronze Olivia Ramaj.

In the 10-and-under girls singles the gold went to Zara Stefanovic, beating Gianna Dang-Aoen 4/2 4/1 who took silver.

In the boys, Arthur Orton beat twin brother Albert 4/2 4/3 [7-0] to gold, with bronze going to Tommie Manuja who beat Tommy Jelly 4/1 4/1.

In the doubles, Albert/Arthur Orton took gold, with silver going to George Crosbie/Damian Rogalewska.

The 11-and-under girls singles was won by No.1 seed Zara Stefanovic 6/2 6/0 against second seed Gianna Dang-Aoen who took silver in a repeat of the 10s result. The consolation gold went to Sumoo Gadalla who beat Theadora Gelling 4/0 4/1.

In the boys, Ivan Yordanov clinched gold 1/6 6/1 [12-10] against runner-up Jasper Hill, with bronze going to Albert Orton who beat his brother Arthur 7/5 6/3. In the consolation, Martin Petrov took gold after beating Tommy Jelly 4/6 7/5 [10-7].

The 14-and-under boys singles gold went to No.2 seed Jasper Hill 7/5 6/3, with silver going to Ivan Yordanov and Peter Quayle taking bronze, beating Leo Kerr 6/0 6/1.

In the 16-and-under girls singles, the gold went to top seed Holly Beattie 6/0 6/4 ahead of second seed Una Macaculop with silver.

In the boys the gold went to number one seed Rohan Chandilya 6/2 3/6 [10-7], with Jasper Hill taking silver and Peter Quayle bronze who beat Leo Kerr 6/2 6/1. The consolation was won by Oliver Neagle.

In the 18-and-under boys singles the gold went to first seed Magnus Benson who won 6/2 6/2 against Noah Chambers, with bronze going to Rohan Chandilya who beat Oliver Neagle 6/7[7-3] 7/5 [10-6].

In the women's singles, defending champion and No.1 seed Charlotte Clarke retained her title by beating Ava Austerberry 6/2 6/1, with Rosie Manuja claiming bronze.

In the men's singles first seed Sean Drewry took gold, beating youngster and second seed Magnus Benson 6/1 6/2, while Craig Blackwell took bronze.

In the men's consolation it was Noah Chambers who took the gold after defeating Ralph Chambers 6/3 6/3.

In the women's doubles Charlotte Clarke/Ava Austerberry clinched gold 6/0 6/1, with Karen Faragher/Rosie Manuja silver.

In the men's doubles top seeds Sean Drewry/Will Hart took the gold, with Magnus Benson/Neri Gricevicius in silver after giving a walkover. Craig Blackwell/Jos Woolford took bronze, beating Noah Chambers and Chris Mash 6/1 6/2.

In the consolation final, Andrew Maxwell/Nick Reeder won gold against Ralph Chambers/Sam Sen 6/2 6/3.

The prize presentation took place afterwards, with tournament referee Paul Jarvis thanking all the players for attending on time for matches.

Drewry thanked Jarvis for all the work put into staging and running the tournament on behalf of the Isle of Man LTA. The presentations were made by IoMLTA chairman Andy Farnworth.
