Douglas lifeboat station is celebrating the charity's 200th anniversary early with three new coxswains.
Having been started by resident Sir William Hillary, Douglas is the spiritual home of the RNLI and its efforts across the British Isles and beyond.
This week has seen three promotions at the station, with Mark Atherton, Richard Coase and Emily Heaton, who after years of commitment and hard work have passed the ultimate assessment in the RNLI, to be confirmed as coxswains.
