Tough Mucka will go ahead this Sunday, and organisers say they now have enough volunteers, although more are still very welcome.
The Isle Listen fundraiser on Cronk Honna Road was postponed on the eve of the event last weekend because of poor weather, with organisers confirming at the time that it would be rearranged for Sunday, October 4.
The charity had since been appealing for additional volunteers to help make the event possible.
It has now confirmed there are enough people in place to safely stage the event, but is still encouraging anyone who can spare some time to get involved.
Isle Listen said: ‘We now have enough volunteers to safely go ahead, but even more volunteers are welcome to make the experience even better!’
Anyone who would like to volunteer can email [email protected].
Tough Mucka raises money for Isle Listen, with participants taking on 18 obstacles across a five-kilometre course at the muddy challenge.
The event will get underway early on Sunday, with the site opening to the public at 9am.
Young Muckas aged 10 to 14 taking part in the 2km course can collect their numbers from 9am, with the safety briefing, warm-up and race starting at 10.20am.
Number collection for the 5km and 10km events opens at 10.30am, followed by the safety briefing and staggered race starts from noon.
Limited last-minute places will also be available on the day, although they will cost more than advance entries.
The event takes place on a working farm and organisers warn that it is physically demanding, with participants advised to listen to safety briefings, marshals and first aiders throughout the course.
Quick-drying clothing and suitable footwear with good grip are recommended, while spectators are advised to bring wellies and an umbrella.
There will be food vendors, toilets, water and fruit for participants, while Riversea Sauna will also be on site for anyone wanting to warm up after getting thoroughly covered in mud.
A Mini Mucka obstacle course will also be available for younger children.
Visitors must use the designated off-road parking fields, with no on-road parking available, and dogs are strictly prohibited from the site.
The course will close at 4pm.
So, after last weekend's false start, the mud is ready for you.
