The fire service have released these dramatic pictures following a crash on the Mountain Road today (Wednesday).

Police, ambulance and fire services were called to a single road traffic collision located on the Mountain Mile at 8.05am this morning.

The male driver managed to escape without serious injury and was able to remove himself from the vehicle before help arrived.

Paramedics were on the scene to check on the driver’s condtion and transport him, with the help of the fire crew, to a nearby ambulance.

The silver car was later made safe ahead of it’s removal from the mountain side.
