A driver was treated in hospital for injuries following a crash on the Ballahutchin Hill, Union Mills.
The Peel Road was closed between its junctions with Strang Road and Ballagarey Road for about two hours from about 12.30pm yesterday (Saturday) while emergency services dealt with the single-vehicle collision.
Fire crews, liaising with paramedics, stabilised the vehicle and helped the casualty out.
He was then taken to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
Station Officer Paul McEvoy said: ’Emergency services would like to thank members of the public who stopped to assist the driver before crews arrived.’
Firefighters remained in attendance for 30 minutes.
