A man kneed a pub licensee in the groin after he was refused entry to a pub.
Joshua Antony Castle, of Ballaleigh Road, Kirk Michael, admitted a charge of common assault after he was refused entry to Quids Inn on Loch promenade.
Castle, 29, will be sentenced on July 23 after a probation report has been completed.
Roger Kane, prosecuting, told the court that Castle arrived at the pub on May 25 at 10.10pm. He was refused entry by the licensee who said that he was too intoxicated.

This prompted Castle to knee him in the groin then punch him to the side of the face.
Castle bit the licensee’s finger as the licensee attempted to restrain him.
Police later found Castle in the sunken gardens on the promenade and arrested him.
When interviewed he told police he could not remember the incident but said he was embarrassed when shown CCTV footage.
The licensee was said to have suffered pain to his left cheek, a sore groin, and a scrape and bruise to his finger.
Defence advocate Stephen Wood handed in letters of reference for his client.
Mr Wood said that the bite had happened during the course of a struggle and had only caused a minor injury.
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered that the probation report consider all options, including custody.
Bail was granted in the sum of £500 with conditions that Castle does not enter licensed premises, buy or be sold alcohol or approach the licensee. But he must contact probation, live at his home address, and not leave the island without court permission.
