A man who was found with £20 of cannabis has been sentenced to community service.
Luke Michael Callister, aged 23, of Lheannagh Park, Douglas, admitted the charge, which put him in breach of a combination order already in place.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood told the court Callister was arrested on July 29 when he was in a car with four other men.
He handed over a snap bag containing one gram of the drug.
The court heard he has previous convictions for cannabis possession in October this year and possession of the drug with intent to supply in November 2017.
A probation report suggested that additional community service hours be added to Callister’s current sentence of 50 hours, which was imposed in October.
Magistrates sentenced him to 60 hours of community service for the latest offence, to run concurrently, meaning he will have to do 10 extra hours.
He must also pay £50 prosecution costs.
