Some 92 suspected Covid offences have been reported to the police since border restrictions were eased.

Of these, 57 involved alleged quarantine breaches.

Figures have emerged in response to a Freedom of Information request.

The island’s borders moved to level 4 on July 20.

From that date Manx residents have been able to travel freely to the UK and beyond provided they self-isolate on return.

Since July 20, police have received 92 reports of Covid-related events.

Fifty seven were classed as a suspected breach of Covid self-isolation regulations.

Ten of these resulted in an arrest.

In four cases, warnings were given and in 15 there was a visit by an officer and advice given.

In nine cases, no further action was taken and in 10 it was decided that there had been no breach of Covid rules.

Six events proved to be separately reported suspected breaches by individuals already being dealt with.
