Police are investigating a series of thefts and attempted thefts of batteries from goods vehicles.
Between 9pm on Thursday (February 15) and 7am the following morning, two DAF batteries were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Manx Independent Carriers premises in Snugborough Trading Estate, Union Mills.
And between 5.30pm on Wednesday and 7.30am this morning (Saturday), two heavy duty Oldham 096Ax2 12v vehicle batteries were taken from a vehicle which was parked in a lay-by on the entrance access road to the Hills Meadow Industrial Estate in Douglas.
There was also an attempted theft of two heavy duty vehicle batteries from a vehicle parked in the lower paddock area of the Grandstand in Douglas between 2pm on February 6 and 6am this morning (Saturday).
Anyone who has recently been offered batteries for sale or has any information regarding these incidents are asked to contact police H
headquarters.
Police are also asking for all goods vehicle owners to be vigilant and ensure their vehicles are as secure as possible.
