The police are searching for a bike who rode the wrong way over the mountain this morning.

The incident happened at about 8.30am this morning with a motorcycle seen going the wrong way over the mountain between Kate’s Cottage and Windy Corner and nearly causing a crash.

A police spokesman said: ’The only information we have is that it was a rider dressed all in black who nearly caused a head on collision.

’Please! Just because the racing is sometimes delayed or the roads are quiet the one way system is in place for a reason and that is purely and simply for everyones safety.’

This comes after police stopped two cars in the past week from contravening the one way system on the Mountain Road which runs from Ramsey Hairpin to the Creg-ny-baa.
