The police is asking all residents who use social media to help them shape the direction of its digital strategy through an online survey.
As social media use increases, the constabulary wants to understand how they can maintain and improve their digital presence to meet the needs of the public.
Around 70.4% of the island’s population use social media, which has increased by more than 5% in the last year.
Inspector Gav Callow said: ’We’re fortunate to have great participation with the public online.
’As the world becomes increasingly more online, we’re committed to listening to the public and developing our digital engagement for policing in the island.’
The short survey allows residents to register their views and provide suggestions and ideas on how the police can improve its digital engagement with the public.
The Manx constabulary currently engages with the public through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The information provided in the survey is collected anonymously and responses will be used to provide a snapshot report.
It is being carried out by an independent company, INEQE Safeguarding Group and it will close on September 6.
