A man has been fined £1,000
for resisting arrest and threatening behaviour.
James Marcus Doherty, aged 35, of Marathon Drive, admitted the offences and was banned from entering licensed premises and purchasing or being sold alcohol for three months.
Doherty is on licence from a previous sentence to 2020.
He was said to have been drinking from 4pm until 4am before the latest incident on December 1, which was sparked after a row with his partner, resulting in her calling the police.
Advocate Paul Rodgers said ’Mr Doherty has just served a lengthy sentence in prison and was a model prisoner. He was given parole at the first opportunity. In prison he was beginning to formulate a business plan and attending a course.’
