Police are losing their calm over the theft of TT road safety signs.
They say no fewer than 10 of the ’Keep Calm and Slow Down’ signs have been pinched from sites along the length of the coast road.
Also taken is the sign pictured which was located at the end of the Liverpool Arms Straight.
A police spokesman said: ’These are road safety signs with an important message which we are delivering during TT and are not souvenirs.
’The TT has not finished, we still have new visitors arriving daily and without these signs this message cannot be delivered and people’s safety is put at risk. These stolen signs now have to be replaced at a cost to the Constabulary.’
He added: ,’Anyone caught removing these signs or found in possession of these signs will be dealt with robustly.
’If you want souvenirs of this years TT please obtain them legally from the many shops around the island or see our road safety team and obtain a free KeepCalmTT sticker.’
