Three men have been arrested and charged with failing to self-isolate having arrived on island yesterday at 6pm on the Ben-My-Chree Ferry.
The three men, aged 61, 55 and 51 all from Swansea, Wales came to the island as key workers with the restrictions to travel only to their accommodation and place of work.
A police spokesman said: ’However they did not immediately go to their place of accommodation, instead they attended a local store to purchase items.
’Members of the public reported their irresponsible actions and Officers were quick to attend and deal with the matter.
’This is again a reminder to anyone returning to the island that you must go straight to your address, not to stop anywhere and to think of others in your community.
’The Constabulary will act swiftly to any calls of this type and take robust action where necessary. We encourage any Covid breach concerns to be reported immediately.’
All three men will appear via live link before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes this morning.
