A woman from Willaston has admitted being involved in drug-trafficking and money laundering.

Lisa Kim Barnett, aged 41, of Snaefell Road, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes on Tuesday.

She was committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery where she will appear on Monday (November 11).

She pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis and converting criminal property, namely £2,000 in cash.

Barnett was arrested at Robinson’s warehouse on October 17 as part of an ongoing investigation after analysis of phone data identified her involvement.

Two other parties have denied their involvement in the offence.

Barnett was said to have been involved in an attempt to convert £2,000 cash from Manx notes into English notes at the Palace bingo, on Central Promenade, Douglas.

The offence is alleged to have taken place between July 3 and July 9.

Barnett was granted bail.

The bail includes a condition that she does not leave the island.
