A woman has been given a five-year driving ban after admitting drink-driving.
The court heard that Christine Luckman, of Highfield Drive, in Baldrine, had been drinking after a row with her husband.
Prosecutor James Robinson told the court how, on April 8 at 1pm, a member of the public reported seeing a woman possibly passed out in a car in Baldrine.
Police found the 55-year-old slumped in the car with her head in her hands.
She was said to be smelling of alcohol with the car keys in the ignition.
She was unable to provide a breath sample despite trying three times but did so at police headquarters where a reading of 113 was produced - the legal limit is 35.
Luckman denied driving at the time she was arrested but admitted she had driven earlier in the day.
An expert’s report declared a reading at the time of driving of 73.
Defence advocate Stephen Wood said: ’Ms Luckman admits having driven earlier.
’This is a lady who responds to crisis in a way that is not particularly healthy or helpful.
’She is embarrassed to be before the court again. There is no evidence of a poor standard of driving.’
Luckman was banned for five years with an order to retake her test at the end of the ban and must also carry out 100 hours of community service. She was also ordered to pay £125 prosecution costs.
